40th Ruby Anniversary

40年前，太陽公公開了一對新人一個玩笑。

2月的春陽，明媚耀眼，以為春天已來到。誰料，3月1日，瞬間，大地急凍，看好的婚紗、禮服不敵春天後母面。還好，臨時由三姑提供了白色披肩皮草，充滿喜氣地由台中到台南往返完成人生大事。

40年如一日，春神樂此不疲。3月1日，不是春雨綿綿，就是春雨霏霏。今(2024)年3月1日，依然冬意未盡。

40年了。紅寶石以其恆久的美麗和堅強，象徵這個周年紀念日。「紅寶石婚 – 40th Ruby Anniversary」，是一個停下來回顧走到這一里程碑的時刻。回顧40，充滿溫暖、回憶的喜悅，及對未來年華的承諾。

Forty years ago, the sun played a jest on a pair of newlyweds.

The spring sunshine of February was dazzling, fooling all into thinking spring had arrived. Unexpectedly, on March 1st, in an instant, the earth froze over, and the carefully chosen wedding dress and suit could not withstand the stepmotherly face of spring.

Fortunately, my third aunt provided a white fur shawl at the last minute, filled with joy, making the journey from Taichung to Tainan and back to complete the significant event of life.

For forty years, as if in a single day, the Spring Deity has tirelessly played its part. On March 1st, if it’s not continuous spring rain, then it’s a gentle drizzle. Today, March 1st, 2024, the chill of winter lingers still.

The ruby, with its enduring beauty and strength, symbolizes this anniversary, “紅寶石婚 – 40th Ruby Anniversary,” a moment to pause and reflect on the journey to this milestone. Reflecting on forty, filled with warmth, the joy of memories, and the promise for the years to come.
