Super TaiRa – 中科院之光　台灣的驕傲

緣由

108年3月13日，蔡英文總統出席在中科院龍園舉行的「Super TaiRa國際論壇」。Super TaiRa是由中科院和宏碁集團合作開發的尖端技術。蔡總統說，台灣又有了項世界第一的技術，那就是Super TaiRa。

超級台灣無線聯盟(Super TaiRa Alliance)於今(108)年1月7日在中科院軍通中心舉行成立大會，聯盟代言人施振榮先生攜手中科院杲院長，號召國內產業，由全波科技總經理童玉瑋報告成立宗旨，搶攻全球物聯網無線傳輸6000億的商機。此為中科院軍民通用技術釋商的最大亮點，院長杲中興為首屆聯盟主席。

LoRa為美國IC大廠SEMTECH所擁有。近年來，在物聯網的無線傳輸架構上，全球有數百個實驗網路皆採用LoRa。在台灣，有幾個縣政府早在2015年即開始導入以LoRa為平台的物聯網。然而，LoRa於無線傳輸上一直存在難以克服的問題而漸放棄。

2015年，全波科技開始進行LoRa的測試，中科院也於2016年參與商用雷達的釋商計畫。其間，亦遭遇瓶頸，後來有如天方夜譚般，將雷達訊號處理軟體植入LoRa的IC，竟然露出曙光，問題終於有解。而且，對中科院而言，這只不過是雷達系統中較低階的技術，但是，對產業已足足有餘了。

在中科院電子所專家的指導下，軟體性能不斷優化，終於露出光芒。全波科技深感這真是一段艱辛的歷程。

皇天不負苦心人，全波科技在2018年初完成了號稱世界第一的Super LoRa。此第一是連美國LoRa IC原廠SEMTECH也認證的。

由中科院和宏碁公司共同發起成立的「超級台灣無線聯盟」於3月13日在中科院龍園研究園區國際會議廳舉行「第一屆超級台灣無線技術(Super TaiRa)國際論壇」活動，吸引了25個國家，超過四百餘位科技界領袖與專業人士參與。蔡英文總統及中科院院長也都親臨致詞，見證本聯盟與六家國內外廠簽署合作意向書，盛況空前。

Super TaiRa代表Taiwan Radio台灣本土自主技術領先全球，將啟動未來台灣產業50年的另一新發展。

With the ever-increasing capability of radio transmission technology, featuring high performance of point-to-point communication, and high power able to penetrate thick walls and other obstructions, we are benefiting from its extensive application that intimately connected to our daily lives, such as remote employee monitoring, safety of mine workers, ship disaster rescue, car parking information, and so on.

隨著無線傳輸科技日益進步，點對點通訊的優異性能及穿透厚牆、障礙物等的強大能力，其應用已相當廣泛且和我們的日常生活息息相關。例如，員工的遠端監控、礦工的安全、船難救助及停車訊息等。

Whenever we see the science fiction movies, like the Star war, Alien, and James Bond 007 series, we were at times amazed at the fantastic scenarios of high technology beyond our imagination that is more than two decades ago. For example, they demonstrated the exploration of future world, and the communication between the spacecraft far away apart from each other, etc. Those were only ideas innovatively created and couldn’t exist in the real world at that time without networks or cellphones, but it is turning out to be true in recent ten years.

每次看《好萊塢》的科幻電影，如《星際大戰》、《異形》、及James Bond 007系列等二、三十年前的名片時，都驚嘆其超乎我們想像的科技及其先進與炫煥的場景。有描述探索未來世界的，有和遠方太空船船長通話的…，在那沒有網路，沒有手機的年代，那只是個創意的點子，在真實的世界是還不存在的，不過，近十年來那些都漸漸成真了。

With the evolution of radio technology, we are entering an era of high-speed communication using GPS, smartphones, and 5G, etc. Furthermore, engaging in Super TaiRa Alliance, NCSIST has devoted to the development of critical technologies, and making imagination that’s only ever existed in science fiction movies become reality.

無線科技的演進，已進入了高速通訊的時代，例如，GPS, 慧型手機及5G。而且，也因中科院加入Super TaiRa聯盟，貢獻了關鍵科技，科幻電影中的想像情節，眼看即將成真。

At this inspiring moment, we’re honored to experience the forum taking place in NCSIST embracing the achievements of Super TaiRa we are being proud of. Additionally, we cordially intend to collaborate with related sectors over the world. It is expected that we work together to create a more flexible, more efficient, and safer communication environments, as well as for more precise positioning, data transmission in the buildings, car parking lot searching, accurate locating of firefighters, and such other things in our lives to enhance human well-being.

在這令人興奮的時刻，我們有幸躬逢此盛事，並以中科院在Super TaiRa的成就為榮。此外，我們誠摯的盼望和國際業界協同合作，共創更具彈性、更有效率、更安全的通訊環境，達到更精確的定位、大樓間的資訊傳輸、停車位的搜尋及消防人員的定位等，增進人類的福祉。

As a member of NCSIST during this glorious time, we have come to see NCSIST as more than a company; it has forever become a part of our identity.
身為中科院的一份子，在這榮耀的時刻，是不是感受到了呢…，所謂「休戚相關，榮辱與共」，只不過如此。
